like I said, it was his first night, and anybody would suck on their first night… I think we can give the guy a break… he became quite good later on with practice.

It’s because it was the announcer’s first night, announcing and he was getting negative comments, so we put music over it so people would not be jerks about it.
why do people feel compeled to put music in there fucking vids? this song has nothing to do with racing. just makes the video suck
M-16… This is #27… we had a brand new car, and we were about 2-3 races into the season… were still tweaking our setup and that is why we were loose coming out of turn 2. That year 27 finished second overall, missing the championship by the points we lost in this race. #8, a friend of mine, finished 3rd overall, and we both should have been 1 and 2 for the year. Was a shitty deal that we would have avoided if we could have.

Not a bad video. Just to rile a few people up, I WILL tell them I won races AND championships in a 72 BUICK Skylark., WITH a Buick v8..not a chevy. this in the mid 80s.
Might better go back and read your facts. I am not looking at the book right now, but I am pretty sure Petty got 1 of his championships driving a combination of Olds Cutlass and Chevy in the late 70s or earl 80s. I could be wrong but ….

hey ‘buddy’. Yeah, you know why they are in the junkyard. Its because they actually SOLD! parts are better for a chevy, and your right, parts are cheap because THEY ARE STILL SELLING ALOT of parts for the metric chassis because everyone is using them. Nascar is not even related to what we are talking about. BY THE WAY: in 2006, GM had 931 wins in nascar, ford motor company had 676, and MOPAR(junk) had 446. Im sorry, but i think GM is the best

sandsmafia- out here in arizona, we have montes (cause there are TONS of them in the JUNK YARD!) and Camaros for the same reason. In the Pure Stock Class, its probably 60% Monte, 30% camaro. Ask any driver why, and he will tell you he is only in a chevy cause the parts are so damn cheap. For your information, Richard Petty won 6 of his 7 championships in MOPAR. Only times he didnt were his first couple years in a Ford, and his end run in pontiacs. Mopar ALL the way buddy.
Total accident. The #8 thought #27 would save it so he didn’t get out of the gas very much.
These are WISSOTA Street Stocks. Uni-body cars aren’t allowed- No Camaros, Firebirds, Mustangs, etc. So everybody runs metric cars.
Pretty nice looking track. Good crowd. The promoter’s nephew parks next to me here in Aberdeen and is sponsored by Gallatin. If it weren’t such a long haul, I’d try it out.

If metrics are the best, then why are people putting camaro parts on them? metrics are the WORST cars out there, they are just the most plentiful. This is the first time I’ve heard someone say metrics are the best. If we’re talking stock, camaro wins, if you can fabricate monting locations, i’d go with metric.
