Can someone explain to me why the cars leave the start line at different times? and so how is the judging done?

Its a dial in time setup
each car puts dials in a min ET and they both race to get as close as possible to their own ET
the car which gets the closest without going under their dial in ET wins.
they are launched at different times so their dialed in ET’s will be the exact same at the finish line.
who ever gets their first wins (without going under their dial in time, thats an automatic DQ)

This looks like a staggered race setup though.
Most of these evos didn’t need to lunch cause they would just rape on the subbies ha.

honestly i dont think a lot of these cars were launching on purpose. i wouldnt want to fuck up my stock clutch either.
