dude all i can say was this guy is so lucky.. that car was so unsafe is just plain crazy for a person to fly out like that ,,,no seat belt harness? seat not bolted down? rear end flying off ? ………car never even went stright down the track ..dude get off the throttle go back to the pits and check your syspention.. i bet his rear end was all lose. i hope he quit racing hes to dam stupid to be racing….lucky to be alive …………………………..

That thing would have never passed an NHRA inspection. It should have never been on the track to begin with.

If your car comes out of the hole like that one did, just back and cruise down the track. That car never hooked, and I’m wondering about the rear suspension.
He should’ve taken a bow for the crowd and be like “I meant to do that…err”
Well in this rare case of this crash lucky his seat belts broke and seat bolts did too if he was strapped in that car during the whole crash he would be dead for sure lucky freak accident safe his life on this one.

What the holy fuck….if this car was built to the standards it should have been there is no way he should have been ejected like he was. And I bet he wasn’t wearing 5 point harnesses. He was getting all kinds of sideways and he was all over the track leading up to his loss of control. His dumb ass fault for trying to save the run and for not building a safe car.
shit happens all the time, sometimes for no reason. even the great 1955 shakey puddin smacked the wall and nobody says he needs to get a new car. i’d say it was probably something on the track, perhpaps oil. that never happens anywhere in city’s or especially drag strips?
why did he get back on the gas?
1950’s safety. now he needs a 1950’s pack of smokes and a nice asbestos jacket.
How did that car pass tech inspection ? I am HAPPY the guy walked away & it is a shame an other classic is gone !
It’s really sad . I mean great he survived like that,don’t get me wrong…but that’s one less classic Chevy out there now.. with I would guess nil salvagable parts too.
Why was it wheel hopping so bad off the line?
When the car rolled over the door kept the car from crushing him…..
theres nothing wrong with those tyres front or rear.
Also if you watch the first part the front tires look the wrong size for those wheels.
The lip is sticking way out and the tires has wrinkles and folds in it while it’s spinning…?
So…another “if I had my seat belt on I would have been killed” story?
Or did he unbuckle and roll on the direction of a window…or maybe his door was conveniently missing for a nice backroll onto the grass.
Funny thing is he got and and shrugged “SHIT’ and punched his first while the car is still flying in the background. I would have kissed the ground!
